Notifiable Data Breach Scheme

The Australian Government’s Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) oversees privacy functions under the Privacy Act 1988. The Privacy Amendment (Notifiable Data Breaches) Act 2017 established the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme, which applies to organisations with personal information security obligations.
